Hello everyone,
I’ve really been struggling since about February. To back up a bit I had been sick in November with a bad lingering cold and then caught it again in December. This is unusual for me so when I didn’t kick it by mid January I went to the Dr. They gave me antibiotics and did some blood work. The results were my white blood count was under normal and so were my lymphocytes. This freaked me out thinking I had something seriously wrong with me. And to add salt I had been drinking quite heavily for about the last 8-9 years. At first binging on the weekends and then daily for like the last 5.
After a few weeks and a lot of supplements my blood levels went back up. It was about this time I noticed some white and red patches in my mouth. Taking my drinking into consideration this frightened me even more. So the last 6 months have been terrible with this constant scratchy throat and allergy symptoms. I have been tested for allergies of which I had none and also tested for acid reflux which was negative.
I am now convinced I have oral cancer that lies in the redness of my throat. I’ve had the white areas biopsied and also a tonsillectomy which both came back as follicular hyperplasia.
I am just petrified something is being missed and having a hard time at living. I did give up alcohol way back in January so that’s no longer an issue.
I guess I’m just wondering if stress and anxiety is enough to make these symptoms or if something else must be going on?
Living like this is awful!
Best wishes to others who are suffering,
