New to this Site

I am new to this site. My daughter passed away 9 months ago She was 30. Since then I have severe anxiety that something is going to happen to me. Every time I have a pain in my chest or my heart is racing I think it's heart disease or signs of a heart attack. I don't sleep at night and it's just been so hard. So, I'm hoping to be able to talk to people and somehow feel normal again.

Hi KeiKel68,

I can't imagine what you must have gone through and continue to go through with the loss of your daughter. I have friends who have lost children and I am in awe of their strength and courage. I would be completely lost without my son. If you need to talk, I am and we are all here! This is a good place with good people!

Hi!! Thank you so much. It's been beyond hard. It is the worst pain you could every experience. I have 2 other daughters and while I miss my daughter every single second I have done pretty well I think. It's learning to live a whole life without her. I know she's in a better place and I will see her again someday :) I appreciate you reaching out :)

I pray that you will experience God‘s peace. I cannot imagine how bad my anxiety would be if I had gone through what you’ve been through! And of course a certain amount of anxiety is expected under the circumstances, however, you can start working on healing if you are ready. If you have been told that your symptoms are just anxiety, then the best way to get better is 1) accept that your symptoms are just anxiety, are caused by excess adrenaline and that they will not hurt you 2) Treat them like they are not important at all. If your heart races let it race and just go on about your business. If you worry about it at all, you are telling your brain you are in danger and your brain will call for the release of more adrenaline, and you’ll get more symptoms keeping the cycle going. I can’t emphasize enough that you cannot care about your symptoms at all if you want them to go away. Try to let go and relinquish all control to God. Blessings and peace to you.

Thank you so much for your words and advice. I am a christian and God is what has gotten me through all of this. Learning to deal with the anxiety has been so hard but I am trying. The more advice I can get from others dealing with anxiety, the better :)

Very sorry to hear about your loss. Grief is a very difficult thing

Are you aware that there is a specific community for those who are experiencing loss and bereavement? Might be useful to also post there.

Hi Keike,

Firstly "may the peace and blessings of the Almighty God be with you and with your daughter who is now in heaven"

I can't begin to imagine the difficulty you are having coping with your lost.

Time is the only healing factor in helping us to cope with life's difficulties.

We all have difficulties to deal with in life and we must not give up.

Anxiety and stress are normal consequences resulting from the grieving process.

Please try to be strong for your other daughters and reach out to us for any help needed.

I am hoping and praying for you ,

God's blessing and take care.
