I was prescribed 25 mg of sertraline (Zoloft) and was wondering what others experiences with it have been? I’m afraid of medications due to a bad reaction to Lexapro and Buspar but my anxiety has become so overwhelming I’ve been off of medication for 2 months and have tried to not mess with medication again.

What’s anyone’s experience on Zoloft?
I take zoloft and I don't know what I would do without it (not saying its addicting or anything) but i think its a great medication and its non-addictive. But the downside of this med is that it takes awhile to work mine took 3 months to fully take effect. The side effects suck though I had every side effect but giving zoloft time was worth every minute.
What side effects did you experience?
Hi I've been on Sertraline 100mg for 3 maybe 4 years now and it's been great. I had this alongside cbt treatment too but found that it really agrees with me. The side effects I initially had were; bruising, dizziness and fatigue. My anxiety was also initially worse but these symptoms subsided within 6 weeks tops. I feel it helps my ability to cope with my emotions a lot more and nowadays the side effects are minimal, every now and then I'll have a night sweat but that's it.
