Hi Cjc, that sounds awful, I'm sorry you are in pain. I too suffer from IBS but mines isnt so severe. Are you Maybe eating something that is irritating your condition ?and also, are you taking any meds for your IBS?
I am not on meds it's on and off and its always when I am at work aswell right side keeps going into a sharp pain
I know how you feel. I can barely enjoy eating out bec ause my stomach can't handle certain foods. But you mentioned it happens when you are at work. Could it be anxiety? When I get nervous about something it gives me a stomach ache and sends me to the bathroom. And I think the pain could be a stomach cramp.
I don't know what it could be I am running out of ideas what could be causing I was tempted to go Dr Google
No, not a good idea. I sometimes fall into temptation and Google stuff and it just makes me paranoid. They always always have at least one life threatening answer that anxiety sufferers like us concentrate on more than the not so bad answers. If you feel tempted to Google come to this forum, it's full of great people that can give you reassurance. You can also inbox me if Google is tempting you.
If your appendix is going to go it’ll happen quickly it’s more than likely your IBS try a hot water bottle
I’m ill myself I just have anxiety ontop so I get mood swings aswell it’s hard when your battling against mind and body
Hello I have actually had my appendix taken out I was having stomach pains and always had pain right in my bellybutton it felt like. Have you tried pushing on the right side, the doctor did it to me and said if it hurts when it the pressure is released then it was most likely appendicitis. I am not a doctor just I am appendixless now so I hope that helps. Once my appendix was gone my pain went away. But also if you have anxiety it can intensify things.
