Has anyone ever noticed blood in stool without it being anything serious?

Sorry for the weird question but it would help me calm down a lot if I were to know I’m not the only one...

Hi there.

Sorry for your distress.

Only your gp /dr can diagnose as no doubt you know.

It could well be Hemorrhoids, which is likely , as that is very common ...

To reassure yourself make an appointment with gp.

Best wishes x

Ps I do know a lot of people who have had this and it’s been hemorrhoids. Which they had treatment for with cream ...

Oh I now saw your “PS”.

Constipation can cause it too, but of course you do need to get it checked , we know that’s always the norm

in reply toSofias

Yes, each time it wasn’t anything , well it was hemerroids in both cases and a small tear, not serious in another

No. Last time I noticed blood was 2 months ago and it was after passing a large stool. The time before that was 3 months and before that 2 years. So it’s not frequent at all..

It is more than likely nothing to worry about. See Lvelizabeth comment.

Hi. Is the blood bright red or dark in color? Sorry that’s kinda gross but if it’s bright red it means it’s most likely hemorrhoids. The darker the color can indicates it’s coming from further up in the intestines. Also you would most likely have other symptoms like a fever or stomach pains. Hope this helps.

Blood is red and not frequent at all. I do have stomach cramps. But I’m a very anxious person so it could be it.

I’m sure you are fine. Most likely you have hemorrhoids. Make an appt with your doctor to help put your mind at ease! Hope you’re feeling better!

I have and one time there was quite a lot of blood. I had to positive for blood in stool samples and then had a colonoscopy. I was so anxious that it triggered all sorts of awful symptoms including weight loss and bad stomach pain but all was fine just internal hemorrhoids

If you have constipation and strained , you will bleed some. Fresh blood ? If continues to happen , should see doc.

Doesn’t mean serious but should be checked 😘 may need to start taking Stool Softner .
