So I had to come to the store that's literally 10 minutes away from my house to exchange something and I'm feeling nervous and anxious she it's not a big deal
Hope your having a good day

nmp1, hope you made it through okay. The thought is already planted in our minds making us uneasy before we even enter the store. Remember it's not being in the store that makes us anxious but in our minds. You could be sitting in your house and feel the same anxiety about something if you think hard and long about it.
Walk into the store breathing in deeply and exhaling slowly. You would be surprised in how much that calms you. Then try not to focus on people and things around you, it's too stimulating for the anxious mind. Walk in straight and tall, do not keep your head down in fear but rather pull back your shoulders, walk in confidently looking straight ahead. Thinking positive, confident thoughts. "I've got that, I can do this" Smile at customer service as you return your item, it helps calm you and you may just get a smile back.
By now you are probably finished, but save this for the next time you are in a store. It works. Practice makes perfect. x
