Hello! Does anyone take ativan for anxiety and sleep? Does it work? I've taken it in the hospital during severe panic attacks and it kind of worked. Any advice would be great. Thanks😀

Yes, I take one in the morning and two at night to make me sleep.

That's exactly what I need it for too. I'm glad it works for sleep. I can't stand having insomnia. Does it help a lot with,your anxiety?

It is a very good medicine for anxiety, but if you take it on a continuing basis your body can get used to it, and you will need more to get the same effect. To me, the best thing to do is to take it on an occasional basis when you really need it. Knowing you have it is also helpful.

I thought it might work like that. Body getting used to it. That's what happened when I took klonopin. I would have to take it daily. My anxiety is horrible and most the time I can't even leave my condo. Thanks for the advice!

I actually got prescribed Ativan last week from my doctor. I’m not really feeling it is helping me any. I’m still unable to sleep and my panic is still really present. I am going to call her tomorrow and see if there is anything else or if she wants me to up my dose. I was on Klonopin last year but it made my mind very foggy 😦

Thanks for the message! I was on klonopin for awhile but abused them. I would take 30 days worth in a few days. Not good. When I've gotten ativan in the hospital it seemed to help. I don't know what else to do. I'm getting desperate. Yea I'd ask Dr to up the dose. Hopefully it will help you at a higher dose. Anxiety is the worst.
