I have on on bisoprolol a few weeks now but I'm itching all over anyone else had this side effects

Sorry to hear you are struggling with this. I take bisoprolol and haven’t really struggled with this as a side affect. Although we are all so different how side affects from meds can affect us.

I would check it out with gp, see if he thinks it will gradually stop. Sometimes I have telephone appointments with my gp to ask a question , see what she thinks...

Hi gasman, did your meds come from the pharmacy with a paper explaining possible side effects? Intense itching is typically a sign of a possible allergic reaction with almost any drug. If you have any benadryl handy I would take one to see if the side effects are reduced, until you can call your doc or the pharmacy (which you should do ASAP.) Benadryl will make you very sleepy, so be careful not to take it unless you are able to lie down. While I've never taken Bisoprolol myself, I can assure you that you are probably having an allergic reaction. Anaphylactic shock (which may or may not happen) can kill you! Especially since it causes the back of your throat to close off (swell shut) completely and cut off the oxygen to your brain. I'm not trying to scare you, and I'm certainly not a professional, but PLEASE do not mess around with any meds that cause itching like you're describing. Call your pharmacy and/or your doctor right away! Good luck to you! I hope you can get some answers right away.
