Lorazepam withdrawl

Has anyone come off lorazepam without the doctor substituting with citalopram. I am having bad side effects on citalopram. I have come down from 4 to 3 i two weeks. Need some positive advice from people who have done this.

Hi sorry your feeling so bad coming off the drug. I also felt this way. You will pock back up again if you are ready that is to come off them? When you first take them you would have felt worse in the beginning. Its the same when you come off them also. I was on citalopram for a year I didn't feel they helped so came off them. Hope this helps good luck

My mother was on them for 18 year and suddenly they decided to take her off them the first doctor just halved her dose which we found out later is very dangerous.... so ended up at a drugs and alcohol clinic. disgusting the way they treat you!!!

I understand where you must be coming from as they tried all sorts of different tablets and nothing helped her like lorazepam (Ativan) also she used to say they were different makes and only a certain one did the job ..... as they started taking her off them she started getting Tinnis in her ears .... I really sympathise with you has I know what anxiety this is causing you !!!

I just don’t understand why they put you on meds then say no !!!
