Withdrawl : I’m in process of withdraw of... - Anxiety Support
Withdrawl
The md needs to tell you how he wants it done.
He never said anything? That's strange.
The seem to know how to give these medications but not to withdraw because been on only 3 weeks just cut in half he said and quarters but you might not get right amount each cut dose that make to much of a differance
Wow, he sounds scary. Can you talk to your pharmacist.
If you are going to cut them I would recommend a pill cutter.
I do have a cutter but cutting in half is to much in one because .05 mg Clonazepam is equivalent 10 mg diazipam and my clonezapam is 30 mg so in half is 15 mg to much in one hit there is a line for in half not for quarters , I need to go .01 mg each taper how when I can only get .05 mg
Yes the line for the one half will give you an exact dose
It's the 1/4 without a cutter that would be hard
I would call the md back.
Did he say .125 mg?
Just quarters is quarters .125mg
Yes 0.125 is a 1/4
0.125 x 4 gives you the 0.50 tab
But you need to be 100% sure that's what he said. I would call. Talk to a nurse just to confirm
Thanks for reply best advice I’ve heard I will talk to the nurse thanks
Yes that's the best idea
Good luck with the weaning process
I have just had new prescription which have quarter score lines on so I should be able to cut a quarter of the three pills for two weeks then another quarter for another two weeks and so on should take should take two months or longer I need to get of this horry drugs when doctor said they were only .5 mg thought they were low but equivalent to 10 mg diazipam which worked for me
That's great you got the tablets that have the line to make the accurate dose.
Always good to go slow with this stuff.
Is the plan to go back to Valium?
No the started me on trazadone nearly 3 weeks now so in need to get of these benzos not sure timeline of 1.25 mg clonazepam
How are you doing with the trazadone? It made me so tired I couldn't take it. I took it at night for sleep and the whole next days I couldn't stay awake.
Great for sleep I think unless it is clonazepam
I'm glad you are getting sleep that's a good thing.
Do you know if you taper each dose a day or keep to the same one I’m on 3 times a day morning dinner and night I started this morning taking a quarter off do I do same again or take a quarter of dinner time one the next day night time and I’ve been to dr chemist no good answer do you have any idea I looked online can not find any thing to say to taper each dose or finish one first and so on
That's a tough one to answer. I think you need to call the pharmacist on that.
What does the prescription say? Or what did the md tell you
Lower by .125 per day or .125 per dose.
The chemist only said cut a quarter down for a week but what dose I think a quarter a week on each dose if you see any where online I would be great full I am going to take so slow the noises in head when take or reduce Hope it goes away eventually
You def need a little more clarification.
Just reading about Xanax it says drop a quarter in morning another quarter a lunch time I find that could be to quick something about rebound anxiety could happen what a nightmare these doctors put you on
I agree they should have been more helpful with your instructions
Check with the Pharmacists. The doctor should no how to do it. It’s a certain progress you go through.
Hello! Forgive me for saying this, but you don't sound like a native English speaker and I'm wondering if the confusion about how to lower your dosage arises from the fact that your doctor and your pharmacist don't speak your native language. In that case, I'd suggest you seek for a translator to help you out. I find a little hard to think that neither the doctor nor the pharmacist don't know how to give answers to your legitimate questions. Bring along someone you trust and that can help with what the doc is saying to you, or ask him to write the instructions down clearly so you can read them carefully later.
All the best to you!
A random question, has nothing to do with medications, but what are you diagnosed with?
