Is there anyone that has gotten inpatient care for their depression and anxiety? It seems to me that my bodies defense mechanism has internalized every bad thing that has ever happened in my life, instead of dealing with it and now it has manifested into chronic anxiety/depression. I feel like I need some intensive therapy to figure out how to be]ring all of it to the surface, deal with it and then get rid of it and no medication or 1 hour therapy session a week is going to do that. Of course I’m on military insurance/federal insurance so the place I found near me doesn’t accept state or federal insurance of course and it I’m sure is way out of my budget but if I knew without a doubt it would work I would take out a loan because I’m actually losing money by being sick all the time. I’ve been struggling with depression/anxiety as far back as I can remember but never had recognizable symptoms until 2015 when I had a couple tragedies happen within 3 months of each other and now the dizzy, lightheaded, panic attacks, wobbly legs, insomnia is just out of control and making life miserable. Every time I feel like I’m getting a little better, something else happens. For instance I had to have my dog out down last Wednesday after 16 years and now my symptoms are worse.

Rhonda, I dunno where you live but here in our local government we have a mental health department and you can go there and ask for a case manager. This person then will direct you where to go and what to do next. I haven't been in inpatient unit but I know people who have seen improvement from it
I live in Washington state. Thank you for your information. I checked into some inpatient centers and unfortunately, the ones that really look good aren't covered by my insurance because I have military insurance as a beneficiary and the starting cost would be $28,000 for a month. Way out of my budget. It's too bad too because the reviews were excellent and they actually solve the underlying cause not just push medication like so many others. They use the natural approach which is why the government insurance agencies don't cover it. It's so frustrating. I went through this with my Naturopath. Insurance wouldn't cover it. It's ridiculous because the supplements and everything were helping me but I had to stop taking them because of the cost.
