Self help for your nerves, its a good book
I believe Hope and Help for Your Nerves (in the US) is the most well known. Based on what I’ve ready, the others kinda cover the same stuff here and there. I just finished it and it was a really good read. I think Self Help for Your Nerves is the same book but the UK edition (maybe, I’m not too sure about that part). There are also free recordings of her going through the highlights of the book that I found online. Those might be a good start while you wait on the book.
Self help for your nerves .. after 15 years I still swear by this book!
That's right, her first book is the one to get, in the U.K. it's titled 'Self help for your nerves' and in the U.S. the same book is titled 'Hope and help for your nerves'. It's available on Amazon and there are usually good used copies for sale which cost a lot less than buying new. This book was written many years ago and some of the social settings and gender roles are dated now but so what that doesn't change the value of her methods for recovery. The fact that we are all here discussing her book 50 years after first publication says it all.
Definitely "self help for your nerves" once you have this book you'll never look back, I read mine often, I don't need it any more but will keep it forever xxx
Get the book "Self Help for Your Nerves". Also go onto audiobooks.com and download "Freedom from Nervous Suffering". You should also be able to get your first one for free. So do that and then cancel. I recommend both, it will help enormously, it has helped me get back to work after 2 years.
Pass Through Panic really helped me. I purchased the audio version so that I could lay back and relax while I listened to her.
