Hi all.Since joining on here I have seen so many people on various posts talk about Dr claire weekes anxiety books and how good they have been for their anxiety.I’m looking through ebay atm and there seems to be quite a few different ones and i’m just a bit confused which one to order and will it be worth it. I’m willing to give anything a try.Any advice?

Amanda, the first book Doctor Claire Weekes wrote in which she first laid down her acceptance method for recovery from anxiety disorder is titled 'Self help for your nerves' in the U.K. and the same book is titled 'Hope and help for your nerves' in the U.S. Both titles are available from Amazon either new, as a Kindle download or used for just a few £$. You may care to read a few of the hundreds of reader reviews as over 90% rated the book either Very Good or Excellent. You will soon recognise yourself in its pages.

Excellent books. I have more than one. They run along similar lines but that is ok by me. I have a couple of CDs too and sometimes leave them playing in the background. Just the sound of her voice can be comforting.

I downloaded DARE, very good book bizarrre how this Doctor has described all the things I’ve been through, including night terrors which are terrifying. you can download the app which teaches you to relax. The advice is to accept the anxiety give it a name treat it like a friend. Sounds bonkers but when you think your going mad anyway what the heck good luck

I've nearly finished the DARE book and I have to say with 20 odd years of severe anxiety and panic attacks this book is truly amazing u really have to be dedicated to it but it does wirk fingers crossed I've not felt real bad anxiety for 3 days and for me that is amazing this book is so giid also on you tube Dr harry Barry and Dr clare weekes both brilliant on these subjects

I've read the book self help for your nerves it's an amazing bit of kit as we know GPS don't tell u much and just give u medication she really does go through everything she's amazing listen to her on you tube too
