Ughh now this what else can go wrong..
Try to drink more water. If you can breath OK then I think it is alright. If it keeps bothering you go to an urgent care facility to check. It is possible it just scratched your throat as you swallowed it. Just make sure you are trying to relax and breath slowly. xx
you think im okay ? because i still feel it a bit
If you only feel it a little bit, I think you are OK. I do understand what you mean by "what else can go wrong." Just try to relax and breath or maybe take a short walk to calm down. xx
Johnnie,
b1b1b1 I think is right. Sometimes I have swallowed the wrong way, but usually, my throat will say "dumb woman" and will choke up what was stuck. If you don't feel better you really have it checked it out.
How did the rest of your day go? Great to have a friend to bring you such a good meal. Does he do the often?
My husband is making veggie pizza for us tonight. What kind do you like?
OH, and my husband came up with more names for a puppy we hope to have by fall:
His suggestions were Woof, Boss (after the singer), Top Dog (TD for short). I just listened. I still think Michael is still a better name to consider, as this dog will help me like St. Michael the Archangel does. What do you think? If you had a dog before, what was your dog's name?
i just feel like it still food there when i swallow and i dont wanna run to no hospital for them
to think like this guy crazy he would of been choked you know jajaja and i like Archangel for the dog sounds like nice name .
1). If something is lodged In your throat but you’re not choking immediately, you’re not going to end up choking. Your body will take care of it eventually and you’ll be fine.
2). More than likely, you scratched your throat swallowing wrong and what you’re feeling is that. Not going to choke.
3). Feeling a sensation of lump in the throat is normal for anxious folk. I went through this for months. I bet this is probably what’s going on.
4). Bottom line, if you’re able to hop on here and talk about choking, you’re not choking.
Hi Johnnie1234, I remember you experiencing this once before recently. When we are anxious to begin with, our throat is dry, we don't always chew our food thoroughly, we swallow air along with the food (causing air bubbles) and we experience this sensation that we may be choking.
What can help you in avoiding this in the future is to always have a glass of water or a can of Ginger Ale on hand. Take sips of either while you are eating. It will help the food glide down easier. I know things happen in life but you would have known right away if you were choking or not. I hope you are feeling better today and have put the worry in the past. We all have to learn how to enjoy food and not just inhale it. I'm guilty of that myself
