Anxiety vs. Side Affects

I thought I just had too much anxiety to fall asleep and stay asleep at night time. After finally reading information on ALL my medications, new and old, I realized that all my medications side affects include: trouble sleeping, fast heart beat, severe mood changes, increased suicide/self-harm thoughts, upset stomach, and on and on. WOW! I am determined to speak with the doctor about my severe concern how this matter ASAP! (I just need to get some patience to wait another 7 days till then.)

Hi EGraceA

As well as helping you getting the most benefit from your medicines, good medicine management will reduce your chances of mishaps that can cause side effects or interactions.

Here's the link to a handy little leaflet about medication reviews

Hi Isabelle2016

Not really. Can't sleep. Getting about 0 to 2 hours of sleep within 24 hours. Very disgusted with doctor(s). By the grace of God, I push thru each day. Thanks for asking!

I'm very sorry. I can say that I'm disgusted with my doctors as well! I sleep for a few hrs then wake for a few. Then sleep for a few and wake for a few. You need to somehow stress this to your Drs bc sleep deprivation is bad and actually used as a torture technique!!

EGraceA, you don't seriously believe you're going to experience those side effects do you? Most of them are one in a million chances and the pharmaceutical companies list them just to cover themselves. Absolutely no reason to get seriously concerned about them, if there was nobody would be taking ANY meds.

Only the side effects listed as 'common' are you likely to experience and these are all mild side effects many of which resolve after a short while. The rest like dry mouth are tolerable.

Just remember: anxiety about taking anti-anxiety meds is just another symptom of anxiety.

I have the same issue. Right after I take anything including a vitamin I immediately panic and everything goes haywire. I don’t think it’s necessarily a side effect of the medication though. The more you worry the worse it will get. Meditate, deep breathe, and try to relax. See if it gets better. If not see if you can get an emergency appointment with your Dr. Usually they will squeeze you in if you’re experiencing something as bad as you describe.

Not what you're looking for?
