Its a shame that it seems your neuro cant get to the bottom of your headaches i was wondering if when they did your mri that they scan your brain at the same time to rule out any problems there maybe ! I wish i had had a mri before i had a bleed i would have had the hassle ive got now im not saying go to your doctor in a panic thinking theres something wrong ! Have you got a stressful job do you have a young family of which both can cause headaches which can be helped by cbt or mild painkillers in the short term i really wish you all the best and i hope things im prove in time !

And how to relax the muscles

Aamir147147, Physical therapy can help immensely. Chronic muscle tension headaches need to be addressed at the source. Pain pills will only mask it for a short time but the trigger points will remain. I was put on antidepressants as you that help break the cycle of pain from a certain area of the brain receptors.

Learning Relaxation Methods that you can adapt to on a daily basis will not only help but is imperative when the headaches take over your life. Mine were daily, mine were endless, mine were debilitating.

A physical therapist (prescribed by your doctor) will work on the physical underlying causes of the headaches. That being muscle and connective tissue. They work on releasing the spasms that cause referred pain leading to your headaches. The pain itself is trigger from another part of your anatomy. They can take care of your physical discomfort but unless you work on the psychological cause of the muscle tightness, the muscles will contract and go right back to square one.

A psychotherapist who deals in hypnotherapy or biofeedback can help train you and your mind in how to release the stress and tenseness you go through each day. Deep breathing properly has a way of reversing our emotional stress within moments but needs to be practiced and done daily. Your body is just telling you with these headaches that it wants some peace and calm. The body has a way of letting us know. Like the "engine light" being on in the car..Repairs need to be made so that you can run perfectly again, pain free.

We are all here to give you some input, many who suffer through intense daily pain. I hope you read all the responses with an open mind. One of them may be the key to you getting better. It will happen for you, Believe in that. :)
