Blood pressure muchine is it this good ?
Blood pressure perfect pulse a tiny bit fast but anxiety might be pushing it up.relax and enjoy your friends.🤗
I don't have anxiety attacks now but when I did I obsessed with how fast my pulse was. I panicked even more. My doctor looked at me straight in the eye and said I want you to know your heart can beat more than 200 beats a minute and not hurt you, athletes try to get their pulse that high! So just relax, you are not going to die from a fast pulse. That helped me immensely as did her counseling along with anxiety meds. I know people hate to take meds but I am absolutely glad to have a normal life again.
^^^^yes!!!! Everything you said. When it gets truly awful that way, I was willing to do ANYTHING if it meant making me feel better.
I was about 50 years old when I had a very bad episode of high blood pressure 250/150. My doc put me in the hospital, I was told it was a wonder I didn't have a stroke. My mother died of a stroke at 56. The doctor tried all kinds of high blood pressure medicines with horrible side effects until he, a kidney specialist, just yelled at me that the only alternative was one that grew hair all over my body. Enter my sweet woman doctor who told me that there were millions of HBP drugs and we would find one for me, and she wanted to be my only doctor. Thank God. She did find a good drug, but this whole experience made me focus on my health so much that I would tun to the emergency room when my blood pressure went up a notch. I developed anxiety which made my stomach torn up all the time. She calmed me down, gave me Xanax and Captopril and I was so much better. The Xanax did not make me weird which I was afraid of. You just have to fend for yourself, be your own advocate, dare to disagree with your doctor in a nice way if medicine makes you feel bad. My lady doctor wanted to know every side effect because she realized not all meds are for everyone. Hope this helps. Hey, I have lived to the ripe old age of 81 and am still going, more slowly I do admit.
Hi Johnnie...I hope your evening with your friends proved to be fun last night. It's best to get rid of monitoring your blood pressure and pulse everyday. It is constantly changing from one moment to another and really proves nothing when taken so many times. The anticipation alone in going out last night caused your pulse to rise. After all it was exciting to be seeing your friends and getting out of the house.
I hope today is a good day for you. I think you are doing much better than when you first got on the forum. Keep going forward Johnnie
Johnnie, my doctor doesn't even blink when my blood pressure is a little high now, because so many factors cause it to be elevated a bit. Most of the time, which is what matters, it is either perfect or lower than perfect, and I don't even monitor it any more unless I think something is wrong, and even then its usually not my BP. Its hard I know, but try to relax and believe you are ok, it takes a really hight BP to damage you and your pulse responds to fear. I went thru all the fears and checking my BP and pulse every 10 minutes, every day, so I know how it feels. If you can get away from that you are going to have a happy life, I am an example.
