Anxiety meds and weird dreams.

So, I take 50mg of sertraline and lately, I've been having really weird hyper realistic dreams. Like I'd be going about doing things I normally would and it feels real, but things would be off enough to know its a dream when I wake up. Is this normal? Am I going crazy? Anyone know?

TrippyMcGuuire762, Being on medication or not, Anxiety in itself will cause these weird hyper realistic dreams because our subconscious mind is never asleep. It absorbs all we experience throughout the day without even knowing, only to show up in our dreams at night. It is true that medication can feed into these dreams but it basically boils down to our anxious thoughts. It is quite normal and "no" you are not going crazy :) x
