I suffer from severe health anxiety, ever day I believe I am dying of some serious illness, usually it is cancer or heart attack. I have suffered for years and often just sit and cry and think about taking my life to make the feeling stop.
Is anybody the same ?
I suffer from health anxiety and I think the same way too.Sometimes I get an ache or a pain somewhere,and my mind jumps to the worst case scenarios.I’ve pretty much stopped googling my symptoms because everything leads to cancer.
Thank you for your kind advice I am attempting to stop the googling too, you are right it just makes it worse.

Hi yes I have health anxiety. I've had it since childhood but the past year it's been at its worst. I fear I'm dying of something all the time. Lately its HIV although i have no reason to think i have it my brain still replays what if what if and shows me losing everyone I love and dying alone. Anxiety wants to protect us but it does a bad job at it. Do uourself a favor and do not Google any diseases or symptoms. It makes everything worse. I have a horrible habit of it and i scare myself so bad I cry and panic for hours. Are you seeking professional help?
Thank you so much for your kind reply, I feel for you too. I have had one of my worst days for a long time today starting with feeling I was having a heart attack this morning and now I ache all over my shoulders and neck which is probably due to my anxious state all day.
It is difficult for me to get healthcare as I have only recently moved to Portugal from the UK.
Thank you for your kind words I am also trying to stop googling my symptoms for the same reason, I wish you nothing but good things in your struggle, I am in hope that one day we will escape it !
