Can I get diabetes from this?

Hi, everyone! I want to know if I can get diabetes by drinking tea, juice or pop. Even from eating junk and stuff. But I haven't been drinking that much pop and just a few bottles of water. Also been detoxing and seems to get some sugar out of my system lol. But anyways, today, I felt kind of anxious after almost drinking all the tea. It was Snapple peach. My favorite lol. I had like three or four cups of it. While eating and just to be wanting lol. Then I suffer a head rush that made me go into a panic but nothing else happened afterwards. Still anxious cause I want to know can I get diabetes from this. I'm not that obese, love my food lol, try staying away from caffeine. Have been drinking natural drinks (you know the ones with no high fructose corn syrup?) Yes. And I'm not that active either, well sometimes. But someone reassurance me!

Thank you,

Deanna💜

It's a myth sugar doesn't give you diabetes. Starches and natural sugar does. I mean candies and sweets aren't good to eat in excess. As your Snapple peach has caffiene in it you might have felt the surge of that, that's what happens to me when my body says no more caffeine. I find alternitives for drink with no caffeine. Tea is hard because it has caffiene like coffee, but if you have a save a lot store their brand Deja Tea comes in lemon and peach and has no caffiene and it's cheap. Sounds to me you had a little panic attack over a rush of caffeine. Hope this helps, try cutting a little out at a time and see what happens.

Hi, what I do is fill a glass 3/4 full of water and then the rest with cranberry juice for example, or Welch's grape juice. You get lots of water into you but it tastes good. It was probably the sugar that gave you a head rush. 🙂

have you had a blood test - HbA1c is a good indicator of whether your sugar levels are under control and is a common test to get done.

To be honest the symptoms you describe could be down to a number of different things - including stress. Diabetes is one of the less likely possibilities.

Thank you! :) I was nervous at first. My body isn't used to sugar or caffeine. Time to cut off.
