Basically I was driving one day and I got extremely lost while driving a couple months. Now it's constant anxiety. Was prescribed Zoloft 50 mg. Made me super nervous. Now I'm rarely eating and had EXTREME heartburn. Also been to ER twice. They gave me Ativan. Made me see stuff. Second time Benadryl. Been constant panic ever since that day.

Hi madiii and Welcome to the Anxiety Forum. I can understand how frightening that had to be for you when you got lost while driving. Frightened enough to have left a negative traumatic stress thought. Constant Anxiety from that is more like a PTSD issue. There are many selections of SSRIs out there that might have less side effects than Zoloft. As for the Ativan, the ER uses a higher dose than normal to calm you down so I'm not surprised you were seeing things.
The plus side, that is if there could ever be a plus side with anxiety) is that you know it is anxiety and not an undisclosed illness. A couple options to get you unstuck from this fear is to be put on a mild tranquilizer and have talking therapy just to stabilize you so that you can learn other methods of relaxation and acceptance that this is not harmful. Anxiety can be resolved, It doesn't have to be a lifetime sentence. Continue using the forum as support. As you talk with others, you will hear of what others have done to reverse the effects of PTSD. You will be okay, just need a little time. You are in good hands on the forum. x
Hi Madii,. I too have been completely lost and panicked, this only made the situation worse. I bought a sat nav as I have no sense of direction😃 I suggest you do deep breathing to help you relax. For some reason unbeknown to us our brain will tell you that when you get in the car again you will get lost! However this CAN be conquered just as lightening never strikes twice, the same with your car journey. Panic attacks happen when we are vulnerable, get positive, listen to relaxation tapes soon you will be well again. I got lost a few times this year when I had no sat nav, now I feel more confident 👍👍😊😊
