I'm 26. A personal trainer. A Christian. A musician. I've been struggling with anxiety for about 2 years solid. Its crippling and it will pass I know.

Hey! Glad you made the step to join and speak out. I haven't been on here long myself but being able to talk really helps. I hope you are getting any help and support you may need as trying to go it alone really isn't the answer. Take care. X

I'm just now finding that out about the "going it alone isn't the answer" I've joined this site to talk with people; if that counts. Other than that, no one knows what I'm going through, but I know this helps. Thank you for your kind words.

Hello Rockster231💐 I am sorry you also endure anxiety. With your passions hopefully you have a positive outlet to release your anxiety sometimes. There is a young man in the depression forum who struggles with depression and says his music saves him. The anxiety forum is a very kind and supportive place. You may want to check into the depression forum too because very often anxiety and depression are connected - and from my experience you get a lot of 'regulars' posting on your questions very quickly and often there. Maybe search out the post 'I hate my life' because that is the young person who also passionate about music whom is having a challenging time at the moment.

I really hope you enjoy this forum! It has helped me so much. The support, advice and there is some people here with very interesting stories and lovely senses of humour. You can post when you feel down or stressed - or post when you feel happy and inspired. At the moment these forums are the only place I can depend on for support and friendship as nearly everyone in my life doesn't know I have problem with anxiety and depression.

Have you seen your doctor? That is the best place to start for help- but here is a good place to share your feelings and communicate with people going threw the same challenges as you. I have a rescued pigeon that I raised since his egg hatched on my bookcase over a year ago. He is house broken, plays fetch and brings me anything he can get his beak on to build his nest. Paperclips, buttons, cable ties, etc. He is sat on my shoulder right now preening so I have to wait until he is ready for bed time before I interupt his grooming session! 🐦 Nice to meet you- and I look forward to reading your future posts!

Thank you aspen2015 for the advice. I will check out the depression forums as well. Though I don't struggle with depression near as much anymore, I think anxiety takes all of my time now lol

Interesting story about your pigeon friend, I hear they're very smart and fun pets to have around.

Hello...welcome to the 'incrowd' and so nice to see a fellow Christian on the site. I think one mistake we make is hiding our disability. By hiding we not only tell the world we are ashamed but tell ourselves the same thereby making our condition even worse.It's amazing when we expose our human frailty how many others will say "yes, I've had those too" and I think apreciate us 'openning that door ' for them. Word of advise..check your lifestyle ie. 'are you taking on to much?'....'are you living your life according to what you know is healthy and right ?' What is your body (in this case your mind) trying to tell you ? Good luck..Cat

Hi Cat, very interesting way to look at it. I am taking on a lot right now, I'm job searching, starting school, moving and am potentially ending a long relationship. I do feel comfort in knowing that God is with me and nothing is too big for Him. I have this for a reason, be it to help someone out or to make me stronger or both.

It is true as you say "nothing is to big for Him" but 'You' are not 'Him'...Take it easy..some people are equipped for some reason to take on alot at a time but some are not. Learn and respect your limitations. People who love our God are often sensative and don't always do well under worldly pressures. Go with that and be very grateful to be one (of the chosen few),I know I am..Cat

Hi Rockster, trusting God and seeing a Christian therapist helps. Also, Joyce Meyer "Battlefield of the Mind" can be quite helpful. Finding what is making you anxious is a great beginning. Learning how to deal with it is a wonderful process. Getting rid of it is priceless. I'm still asking the Lord to do that one. Be encouraged. It will pass.

Thank you for the kind words steadfast66. Since I posted here the other day, I haven't had an episode. Thank God haha its been getting better and better. Thank you again, one thing this whole situation has changed, (well its changed a few) I didn't know what a panic attack was a few years ago and remember thinking this dude was a sissy for having one. Now I know! Lol he doesn't have them anymore though. I often think about how I will be able to use this to help others. Its such a silent issue

A personal trainer?! Awesome sauce! Yes, IT WILL PASS!!! Do you see a therapist of any kind?? Try doing some CBT with a therapist, it will help a ton. Eventually you will be living life to the fullest again, these things just can't last forever. It's impossible!! Much love Xx

You know, Thank you so much! I've had to study that recently for training clients with depression. I will look into CBT more though for my application.

I don't see a therapist, but I've got some good friends with support that have helped me tremendously. Thank you again for the kind/ helpful words! ALIGHTOFHOPE___
