Rough weekend: Does anyone ever get chest... - Anxiety Support
Rough weekend
Hi Taranicole31404, Once you have been diagnosed with anxiety, I can safely say that the chest pain is more likely coming from your chest wall. The muscles and nerves in your chest and back get so incredibly tight and never really get a chance to relax when you are anxious. It is not a dangerous issue but uncomfortable. Relaxation and baths can help reduce the tenseness. Heat is another source of comfort. Either using a microwavable heat pad or (what I do) take a bath towel right out of the dryer and wrap it around your shoulders. You will feel instant relief from your back into the front of your chest. It will allow the pain to subside as you feel calmer. Try not to feed negative thoughts into your mind, such as you feel like you are dying. It only makes the muscles even tighter. Before doing anything strenuous, it's not a bad idea to stretch your muscles to help warm them up some before doing an activity. Feel better and try not to worry. You will be okay xx
Thank you the warm towel really help
Doesn't it though? I have one wrapped around my shoulders right now. Gives me a reason to look forward to doing laundry. I'm glad it helped. xx
