I get this feeling of deep breath and I feel like my heart will stop . It is so scary . I have anxiety . Sometimes I get an extreme sudden fear of a particular thing . This fear is so bad that I think someday I will die because of it . Im only 16 and I dont have any psychotherapists around . Nor can talk to anyone about it . I just dont know my life is alright but what is causing this intense fear? Can someone kindly provide some help! Please feeling so desperate!

Hi bless you I cant help as I'm going through the same horrible feelings but I found reading other posts on this site a massive help. Also when I start to get panic feelings I try to get up and do something different to take my mind off it . Here if you need someone to talk to
I have anxiety too and I sometimes worry I'll drop dead, but I'm learning to cope with it. I do my best to calm myself by taking deep breaths and praying. I know it's debilitating and it has really bad physical symptoms, but you can overcome it by finding techniques that put your mind at ease. Praying that you feel better soon
I'm so sorry that you are experiencing these extremely uncomfortable feelings! If you have seen a doctor to make sure there is nothing physically wrong with you, then you are going to have to get control of your mind. I highly recommend a book called "DARE: the way to and anxiety and stop panic attacks," by Barry McDonagh. The book has been extremely helpful to me! Also, talk to a trusted adult about how you feel. You need support from people in your life who care about you. Please keep us posted about how you are doing. The people in this support group really care, and we understand what you're going through because we have gone through it too.
Illboy, I know the symptoms are terrible. I'm sorry you're going through this. But listen, the way to relief is through acceptance! And yes, I know, that is the HARDEST thing to do. When you're in the middle of a bout of anxiety, you must calm yourself. Feeding into anxiety and adding more fear upon fear is the worst thing you can do. You need to find a mantra to repeat to yourself that might help calm you. Talking out loud can help. "Screw you, panic" or "I'm going to be fine" or "Do what you will. This will pass." Something like that. Mine has always been "You can scare me, but you can't hurt me." And that's the truth. Panic and anxiety can scare you but they CANNOT HURT YOU. If you've noticed, the feelings will always pass. They may come again but they will pass. Try praying. Or meditating. Deep breaths. Get away and lie down with your eyes closed for a few mins. I also downloaded an app called "Insight timer" which has all different free meditations. You can even chose the subject you want to meditate about whether that's sleep, worry, relief, anxiety, etc. It's helped me a great deal.
As a side note, I am not a doctor and do not intend or mean to diagnose you. But I've been where you are and I know how scary it is. Anxiety loves to scare us and if you let it, its winning! Maybe see a doctor to put your mind at ease? When you're told everything is fine, that does actually help you to feel better the next time an attack happens.
Also, "Peace From Nervous Suffering" and "Hope and Help For Your Nerves" are great books by Claire Weekes. Really helps you to know you're not alone.
