Anyone experience this?

I have noticed in the last three months. I feel like I'm void of emotions. I mean I feel things but I feel kinda numb. I like to be alone a lot and get lots of sleep. I don't feel depressed at all. I just enjoy my own company. I'm around people and I talk to people daily it's just I like my space. Has anyone noticed this after starting taking medication or maybe I just like peace and quiet that I have never experienced before?

Hi User4567, It is quite normal to feel void of emotion when on an antidepressant medication. It's job is to numb the senses some so that it can take away the pain of depression. With it can come an inner peace and satisfaction of being with yourself. Enjoy the break from reality for a while :)

Hi User4567,

Depression comes in as many forms as there are people.

I expend a lot of energy being around people when I really wish being nowhere or somewhere else. The peace and quiet of my own company is a chance to recharge my batteries. Sleep is a luxury if you can enjoy it without medication. :)
