I guess your mum just doesnt want you to worry. Mums worry but they hide it. Acid reflux is yucks. Dont eat bland foods as it makes your stomach produce more acid. Apple juice is soothing. Its common with anxiety. Hope that helps.

I'm sorry you have bad acid reflux, I started getting it real bad a couple years ago. It often goes hand in hand with anxiety..... anxiety gets bad acid reflux acts up, then freak out some more. I eventually saw a doctor because it got so bad. So you might want to ask your doctor. Other tips try to cut back/avoid caffeine, spicy acidic foods/drinks. Yogurt, bananas, apple juice, oatmeal are great for acid reflux. Try not to eat 2 hours (?) before going to sleep, & sleep at angle. Hope this helps a bit.

I know what you mean. I have acid reflux too and it is terrible. Have you talked to the doctor for some medication? Some tests can check if the cause of it is bacteria (h pylori). Mine has been getting worse these days too .-. I went to a walk in today but since it wasn't my doctor he couldn't do much but say to take antacids and basically commented on my anxiety

I'm usually on 300mg ranitidine at night and that usually helps but hasn't so my asthma nurse who prescribed them to me because asthma and acid reflux often go hand in hand too

And she has said to split the ranitidine in half so I have 150mg in morning and 150mg at night

Thanks everyone my acid reflux has fingers crossed settled a bit so hopefully that continues

I am taking 150 of ranitidine too. Yea I have heard GERD can make asthma worse, so try treating the acid reflux as best as you can to minimize the severity of the asthma

Yeh I know that's why I was prescribed it because my asthma hasn't been the best so they put me on that so it can be ruled out because I told them I get it

I used to get it when I was younger and made me travel sick too and it only just came back last August/September time

Thanks
