Omeprazole

Okay... It's almost 11pm EST here. I know it's late but for anyone who's taken omeprazole... did it dry out your throat and sinus. My throat feels like it has sand in it? Anyone else ever have this side effect? I've never really taken medicine before so I'm extremely sensitive. I've taken omeprazole for a couple days before and I remember my sinus feeling really dry but I can't remember if my throat was too.

Try some sugar-free cough drops. My mouth is constantly dry from one of my meds. It actually does help. Keep a couple in my pocket and on my night stand.

Hi, the generic name is Prilosec. I have never taken it but our family dr. put me on a new one last week. My mouth is totally dry when I wake in the mornings and my sinus stuffed up but it does clear up. I now keep a glass of water beside my bed.

I'm on rotonix and I hate it it seems to exacerbate the symptoms .

To Me it seems like medication is just a bandaid. It doesn't actually heal the problem but covers it up.
