Been given 2 weeks off to get on top of major anxiety breakdown after changing jobs. Feel so guilty that I let my colleagues down and they think I'm weak. So hard to explain all the suffering. π

Sorry about the anxiety causing you so much difficulty. Nothing to feel guilty or embarrass about. Hope you are seeing a professional to help you during this two weeks so you go back to work confidently. You will be better, takes time, and your co-workers will be happy to see you when you return.

Tx, it's hard to explain why I just cry randomly it's so overwhelming.
Crying is a way for release. Think I read somewhere that that crying permits the body to release naturally the built up tension, stress, sadness, anxiety. I did that recently when sending emails to people thanking them for their kind messages upon the death of my service dog. I was holding together, stunned, hurt, sad, angry until I started to draft those thank you messages....then I teared up and couldn't see.
Is there something you can put your finger on that is causing you to cry?
We all understand what you are going through and you must not feel any guilt at all Would you feel guilty to have time off if you broke your leg ? No So no guilt for anxiety
You are not weak at all
You get well and the only person you must think of is you
All the very best xx
