I'm on so much medication and I still have fear. Any help I would appreciate. My nerves are so sensitized. I don't know if I can get better.

Hi, Yes you can get better.

I know it is tough, but you can get better if you want to.

Keep going and keep trying new techniques, remember it does take time for medication and other techniques to work. If you are using any relaxation, Mindfulness, CBT or any other methods you have to keep doing them every day. If you forget a day it is easy to say oh well that didn't work and just not do it again, but it is better just to pick it up the next day and keep working through it.

Find out what exercises you can do to build up your self-confidence. I used positive affirmation statements and I also learned techniques to change the way I spoke so that I was being more positive about myself and the future. I also set goals for the months ahead, that was tough and I had to start with setting goals for the next day and when I was confident with that I would set my goals for the week ahead and then the month ahead. I am working on goals for where I want to be in 3 years now. I have also started using a vision board to expand on my goal setting. So I have written goals and I also have a vision board which is all pictures and key phrases which I look at every morning and every evening to remind me of my goals.

Also don't feel guilty about spending time how to take care of you, because we all deserve to take care of ourselves so that we can be healthy to take care of the people we care about.

Remember you can do it and you have the support of this group. Keep going, you can get better.

Take care.

What kind of fear do you have?

Hello Trees!

Congratulations on the careful withdrawal from Klonopin! I sorry you are worried about the amount of your meds. Are you still at the partial hospitalization program?

in reply to

Yes I'm still there. I'm afraid to go down on any more klonopin. I'm not even sure it's working

in reply to

Well, you are able to write coherent replies and information, so it's a wait and see situation on your Klonopin reduction. How much do you take now? Believe it's good that you are still at the partial day program.

I feel like sometimes the more meds you are on the worse you feel and more anxious. I was originally taking celexa, Ativan, busphar and amytryptaline and I was not functioning. I got off busphar and amytryptaline and actually felt better. I ended up increasing celexa which did help. I am still trying to get off Ativan ( take it at night) for sleep but I think i am going to try melatonin). Of course I went off meds with help of psychiatrist and therapy has helped. I still don't feel back to normal but better. I am willing to give more natural things a try ( fever few has helped me greatly with headaches) and just ordered adrenal fatigue liquid ( vitamins and herbs)

Not what you're looking for?
