Drove towards the ER, turned around. LOL

Idk if its the cocktail of meds I've been on lately or Im justed stressed about something but Ive been having very scary panic attacks. Right now Im having one where looking up out the car windows makes me dizzy and i feel like i cant see well. I keep thinking im about to have a seizure. I had my boyfriend drive me to the ER then made him turn around then it got worse so i made him turn towards the ER AGAIN and now we're heading home. Im really nauseous and my neck hurts. If panic attacks were a person i would brutally murder them!!

Defiantly all classic signs of panic attack. No matter how many times you experience them you always think something is really wrong this time. I bet you find they last 30-40 mins then subside. Hope your feeling better now or maybe you have turned around again Lol 😂

And if you'd made it to the ER they would most likely tell you panic attacks are a symptom of anxiety disorder but you knew that anyway. The ER cannot cure you of anxiety disorder but there are self help plans that most certainly can.

First you must ask yourself why you got into this anxious state where worry and stress (maybe) have caused your nervous system to become over sensitised. In this state they bombard you with bad feelings and imitate genuine physical illness causing more worry and more symptoms like panic attacks in a never ending circle. Perhaps it's your job or some relationship that isn't working or someone in the family misbehaving or just plain old money worries. So if you can identify what's causing your panic attacks and take drastic steps to neutralise them (which may mean putting yourself first for a change) then that's a good first step.

Next, how do you fight the bad feelings? Well that's exactly what you don't do, fight I mean, you have to stop fighting these feelings as fighting only causes more stress and strain. What you have to do to recover, and believe me, someone5673, you certainly can recover is to accept these feelings without letting them scare you half to death. After all, they're fake symptoms, they're not the symptoms of real physical illness, so although they make you feel bloody awful they're not going to do you permanent physical damage. Nobody ever died of a panic attack I can assure you. So why let jangled nerves make your life a misery. Instead just accept those panic attacks for the time being, accept them with the minimum of fear and the maximum of calmness you can muster.

More easily said than done, I know, but with practice and persistence you will learn how to accept. And the thing is, you see, when you stop fighting, stop constantly testing yourself and start to utterly accept the bad feelings you give your oversensitised nervous system a vacation from being constantly resensitised by fear. And after a while your nerves recover and becone desensitised and that is the point when you feel cured from the curse of anxiety.

May I suggest you go to Amazon and read the reader reviews for a book written years ago by Claire Weekes called 'Hope and help for your netves'. Claire Weekes was the doctor who discovered the Acceptance method of recovery and 90% of the readers who review it on Amazon describe it as very good or excellent. So for the sake of a few dollars you could buy and read and reread the book that hashelped untold tens of thousands to recover from the misery of anxiety disorder. It brings immediate reassurance and people say it feels as if the author knows them personally and recognise themselves in its pages.

I commend this life changing book to you without hesitation. It will give you your life back.

Hi someone5673, I was going to ask how you've been doing. At least you can still laugh lol

I'm sorry you are getting the panic attacks again. It may very well be your meds causing some of the symptoms. Hope you feel better this evening. Give yourself some relaxing "me time".. x
