Hey guys, so i've been noticing that nowadays, my head feels really heavy. As i meantionned in others posts, i fainted around a month ago and was very worried about my health. Now it's kinda getting better but my head hurts and is so heavy. I'm extremely worried and i wonder if i should go see a doctor or not.. And to have an appointment with a
neurologist takes months! So i really don't know what to do.. Besides because of anxiety, my mind thinks about the worst case scenario. I'm only 17 and i don't know what to do..
Anyway thx for reading!

Ananas, I know what you mean about the wait to see a Neurologist. Most of the time a GP can do a quick neurological exam and if necessary can order some tests. That might be the way to go to relieve your concerns. My best. x
Thank you for your concern. My mom brought me to my GP this morning, it went well and my doc said that I should do a brain scanner (I don't know if that is what it's called in English because I'm French ehe) and we managed to have an appointment in two days for the Scanner.
She also told me that I should check my eyes at an ophthalmologist.I'm one of the rare kids to develop hypertension in the eyes which I have a treatment for otherwise I would go blind and I don't want that to happen.she also said that the hypertension can causeheadaches but i've never had the feeling that my head was tired and stuff.. Anyway, i hope i'll be okay and we'll find the cause of the pain. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to help me i really appreciate!
Ananas, I am so glad you were able to see a doctor today. Your doctor sounds very thorough in ordering an MRI of your brain. Two days is not too long to wait. After you see the ophthalmologist your doctor will be able to give you some answers. I wish you well. My thoughts will be with you when you have the scan. You'll be okay.
Let us know how everything goes. Meanwhile do some relaxation and deep breathing to bring your mind and body some calm and peace. Good Luck Ananas xx
Hi, heavy head can be from depressions and anxiety .. or can be from
cervical spine.. you did not mention if you feel dizzy.. if yes, can be vertigo too.. but still i would better visit a doctor to make sure it is not neurological.. but GP should recognize it too and decide if you need neurologist or if the heavy head is because of some from the things i mentioned..
Hi, since you are 17 , do your parents help/are you still living with them? I hope you have some family support and can find out what might be wrong physically, or if it's from anxiety. Take care
My family tries to support me but they don't understand how scared and worried i can become whenever i feel pain out of nowhere and stuff like that. I still live with them and they've been very nice to me when i felt awful, now i'm getting better but i never know if my pain is due to anxiety or not...
I had that feeling but didn't realize it can cause whiplash if you let you're neck just roll around. This led to me being pretty off balance for about a month until I started icing my neck every night
I'm not really worried about my neck being stiff because I don't feel it being so stiff but I'm more worried about my heads hurting a lot and being really tired
