Strange symptom

So this morning I felt that my threat and chest felt strange as if my heart was flip flopping around, as if my heart was skipping . But when I checked my pulse when that was all going on it felt fine ?? Does anyone else get this ? And I just had my 24 hr heart monitor removed yesterday , why didn't it happen then grrr

I've been having heart flip flop palps for 6 days now and it's soooooo annoying. Been trying to drink more water, more hours sleep and eating 2 bananas a day to get more potassium. I'm due for my period so think that is related too. Bummer about the heart monitor - bit like having a dog who does tricks but refuses to do them on command!!

Vbee I'm wondering is the heart pulps getting worse as I was told last Friday by my dr that my Potassium is very low and have been put onto 2 tabs a day . I have no idea what low potassium causes .

Low potassium causes heart palpitations and nerve twitches!! And magnesium plays a role too. Low magnesium can cause low potassium. Google foods that contain potassium and get munching! Soak your feet in a magnesium chloride foot bath or have a bath with epsom salts. My heart flips are always worse after a series of late nights or disturbed sleep (i have a frozen shoulder so sleep is painful and elusive some nights). Bloody annoying this stuff!!

Omg we are so alike with symptoms Vbee lol . Yes after I do a sleep over fir work I feel yuck the next day due to not sleeping well . Also if I don't sleep well at home I feel like I have a hangover . I have had the worst shoulder now for over a week , both of him have bursitis but I over used and stretched my right one and paying for it now . These bloody pulps are annoying me so much and heart races just when it wants to .

Noooo not the bursitis!! So painful - i likened the pain to giving birth!! Mine has been going on for 2 years so it's almost "thawed" out but still have flare ups - dug a hole today to plant a lipstick palm and yep pain tonight!! Have you tried any relaxation or meditation techniques? It will deffo help with the mucked up shift work that your job entails but will help with the heart thumps. It's just an electrical charge misfiring and not dangerous just super annoying!! Unfortunately with this whole anxiety journey we become extra aware of our physical symptoms and immediately leap to the worst case scenario which then starts the spiral of panic. Just accept whatever your body throws at you and say "so what". Have you read Barry McDonagh's book DARE? I highly highly recommend it!!! 👍🌴😎

Yer I have def got better at excepting , but times it's really hard and can feel everything but I don't panic as much . Yes I have the book but haven't read it all , just haven't had the time

Well done at accepting. Read the book! Start from the beginning again - you will get so much out of it!! I know it's hard, really hard but step by step, day by day we will conquer!

Sure do . I just finished work did a sleep over and I feel terrible . Off balance , neauseas , aching arms just lousy . Why is this happening ?? So is the anxiety or symptoms of low potassium ?

Poor you. Very likely a combo of everything. For me they come in a bunch for a week or so then nothing for ages. Sleep, water, good food and not much sugar, caffeine or alcohol should make an improvement. And some relaxation session!! And doing something fun that you enjoy!!

I do drink lots of water , eat well but I do have a couple of reds at night when I'm not working and I have proved that it makes no difference . I drink green organic tea every morning , I don't drink coffee, soft drink or juices .

Sounds like you're doing really well. I reckon it's the sleep factor for you anxiety and stress perhaps...... get back into the DARE book gurl!!!!

Hello jodz x just been reading some of your postings x yes meditation does help x as you know I was in that place last year as you are now x but I never thought I was ever going to feel better and get over this horrid anxiety x must not let it win x I thought I wS dying with it last year but I can say now that I'm 98% better than I was x yes some times I feel a bit icky x but then I tell it to bugger off I haven got time for you to bugger my life up x so I do hope that one day you can be in the same place as me 98% better x keep in touch with me let me know how your doing take care jodz

I have a kind of suffocation feeling in my throat. I feel I can't swallow the saliva properly...I don't know wats happening.....It's been since one year I am suffering from anxiety..I don't know when I ll stay healthy happy life like before

Junali not that I know of . I get it a lot and I just put up with it and don't go into panic over it .

This post brings me so much relief knowing I'm not the only person that has heart palpitations!! I don't eat banana's so I'll give those a try, I've also cut out caffeine completely and pretty much only drinking water. I normally get them during a panic attack or my anxiety is really high.

Welcome to the palpitation family Rachiebaybee lol . I can go weeks even a few months without them then they come back with a vengeance . So I'm back to checking , re checking my bloody pulse .

I do the same thing constantly and it drives me crazy. I've recently went a few months without any and I randomly had one and flew into a panic attack causing more. It's a vicious cycle.

I suffer exact same heart palps just as u describe for 10 years now and I do the exact same job as you do I know what the dreaded sleep ins are like !!

I got assured they are eptopic beats

Some handy tips to get ur heart back in rytham when they start

blow through ur nose hard whilst pinching it

Cough or

Get up and jump up and down

Hi susannaylor omg it's just a vicious circle . The last 2 days have been hell with the pulps . I think I have been stressing a bit to much about my potassium levels so I rang the Drs yesterday and spoke to the nurse to tell me me what mt level was it's 3.3 and they should be between 3.5. And 5.5 so I'm just under . She reassured me I'm ok and stop stressing and eat a banana a day ad take my meds which I am doing . So I'm deffeeling better about that . So yes this anxiety can piss right off . I slept 11 hours last night and I did need that , haven't done that for months . So off horse riding today out the bush and my anxiety can stay behind . Thanx again for your support xx
