I was at the movies when I started to feel my heart racing and tingling in my mouth and body and a weird taste in my mouth I am so scared

It has happened to me many times . I no longer can go to the movie theaters because it triggers my anxiety and sends me to a panic. Please take it easy sweetie . You'll get through it .

Thanks for your response I hate this feeling they gave me Ativan which I refuse to take. I am tired of this anxiety

I hate having anxiety too . But just like any other illness , no one asks to have it , it happens. We have to be strong and remember that we deserve to live a fulfilled life .

Sfqueen, just saw your post now. I haven't been to a movie in a long time because of the lighting and sound and vibration. I'm sure that's what happened to you as well. Once your heart started racing then you started over breathing which caused the tingling in the mouth. I'm sorry your night out ended up in the ER. As for Ativan, yes that seems to be the drug of choice that the ER uses.
