Stressed out

I am for ever looking at the web for answers. I taking Omeprazole and now I keep burping. Does anyone else have this side effect or is it linked to my anxiety.

I was prescribed the same thing for heartburn and GERD but I haven't taken it yet. My Dr. prescribed it on the 5th 20 mg and I was told to take before meals? Is that what you're doing?

I take it in the morning but my worry is the long term effects of this medication. It's only positive that it lines your stomach when on different meds reducing internal bleeds. But over all wished I kept using shop brought meds.
