Caffeine and anxiety

Wondering if caffeine and or smoking makes anxiety worse for anyone else?

Caffeine makes it horrible for me. I can't even enjoy Green Tea.

It sucks because im a daily coffee drinker and i try to cut out anything else with caffeine in it for the day so that i can still have coffee and im not sure if it makes it worse for the anxiety or not im hearing yes and as far as smoking ive cut way back to less then a half of pk a day for the chest pain and shortness of breath symptoms seems to be helping a little

Do you drink coffee for the boost or taste? If it's the taste, try decaf and maybe that'll help or drink lots of water with the regular coffee.

I drink it for the boost, i love iced coffee and havnt went a day without it :(

Too much caffine makes your heart race, definetly have decaf ☺

Weirdo me !! It doesn't bother me at all I love coffee. Sugar rush is a different thing. I love sweets/candy can't get enough, pigging out is a terrible thing but I then suffer the racing heart sugar rush :-(

Hi...I know if i have two or more cups of coffee consecutively my hands start trembling and i start feeling confused and disoriented,it usually lasts up to an hour or so.Its not a nice feeling so now i manage my caffeine intake be it coffee or energy drinks

The answer is yes, it both causes and increases anxiety.

I started drinking that Kava stress relief tea got it in walmart by Yogi it does seem to help but I usually only have it once a day or at night when I feel I need it most... try it..

coffee is tough on me. i'm better without it but i love the taste. even decaf isn't great for me but that's b/c i have other issues with acidity & GI issues ... oy.

I'm super sensitive to caffeine. I can only have one cup of coffee a day. When I have had more than one, I feel terrible! Very jittery and bouncing off the walls!

I'm sure it isn't good for my anxiety but I just can't bring myself to stop the coffee.
