Could this be Agoraphobia & panic disorder?
Yes I have agoraphobia hate public places and crowds I go all dizzy. But working on it facing the fear on a regular basis to try and overcome it.
You've got to push yourself when you get agrophobia, don't avoid places just because you get scared you have to push yourself to go, feel the fear and go some more. I had agrophobia and you have to fight it don't let it win.
Yes I believe it is panic disorder. I'm not "afraid" of public places but I do get dizzy/disoriented, and many other symptoms in public places. I don't think, for me, that it's agoraphobia because I WANT to go out into the public and enjoy myself. I don't have a fear of that. My fear is of the panic symptoms when I do go out. I just try (and it can very difficult) to concentrate on what's going on around me instead of thinking about myself and how I'm feeling. My mind always seems to drift to thinking "how do I feel right now?" "Am I having any panic symptoms?" and when i do that, panic always shows me a symptom, then it snowballs into another symptom, and another, which can then turn into a full blown panic attack. So I would say just try to enjoy the moment, the conversation, the product (if you're shopping), the view/scenery, etc., anything to avoid thinking about yourself and your symptoms.
The trick and cure for you is not to be afraid because fear is the panic. As soon as you think I'm afraid that starts your apprehension which starts your fear, which in turn becomes a panic. If you were not afraid of your fear in the first place you wouldn't suffer at all.
