Iron deficiency

So my Dr. Just called and I have an iron deficiency which can cause anxiety symptoms. She also said she is shocked no one looked in to it when I was constantly in and out of the Emergency Room. But anyhow, I will be taking a supplement for 6 Months.

Hi Tanae, Simple blood tests done by your GP are probably the best way in getting to the root of any deficiencies. Wishing you well on your supplement. Feel better soon...

Thank You. Yes, she saw in the notes from the emergency room that I was anemic and it was mentioned to me but I was also told my blood tests were fine so I didn't think anything of it lol. I'm just happy it's being taken care of lol.

A month ago there was Dr. Oz had an episode of his show dedicated to anxiety and he mentioned being low in B12 and B6 can cause anxiety. According to him (and other drs) people should take B12 daily ....I had only been taking it once a week and now take it daily but haven't seen any improvement yet from my panic/anxiety. At least it is a start and cannot hurt you.

Hi, I did mention that and also the multi vitamins that I've been taking but she insisted that all I need is iron supplements. I'm going to give it a try and see how it works out.

Nothing ventured nothing gained and so many of the leafy green veggies have Vit. B in them as well as red meat of course.

I sure hope you are right, it is odd how the mind can think up "what ifs" I mean I make myself wonder at times but anxiety can control a person. I would just like to be happy each day

Same here, I understand what you mean. I always think about the "what ifs" too.

What ifs can consume a person......I made arrangements with someone to come to visit, now I'm worrying what if I'm not well, what if something happens to me when they are here, what if....what if...I hate what ifs. I hate fear.

Hi, She didn't say how low but it concerned her so I'm guessing it was pretty low and I will be picking up my prescription today. Once I get it, I will give you the details on the dosage and what type of pill it is because my GP said it is a little different from the 3 a day supplements. I will keep you posted.
