I was just diagnosed with anxiety and an overactive thyroid a few months ago. The past few days, I noticed a shakiness to my body. I have been under a lot of stress but it hit me out of no where. It feels like my body is shaking even though you can't see it from the outside, but there are times where it feels like my face is trembling and my teeth will chatter. Then I notice my hand/hands shaking and my leg/legs. Does anyone else have this problem or know what could be causing it?

Anxiety or not?
Hi Jmjrjj8908. An overactive thyroid can give you those symptoms as well as anxiety. Are you on any medication for either diagnoses.?
I am on medication for thyroid, but last it was checked....it was mild but I'm actually going there in a couple days. But I don't take anything for anxiety.
The reason I asked was because if the thyroid is under check with medication, then those symptoms are most likely coming from the anxiety. I get the same when I am stressed. Everyone is different in what they feel. Mentioned it to your doctor in a couple days just to see what he says about the thyroid med.
Hi there I'm not to sure about the tyroid problem you have but I know anxiety can make you shake a lot and you feel like you start to shake from the bottom of your body and then the rest will start shaking. It's common with severe anxiety and happens mainly with pannic attacks hope this is helpful to you
I have the same problems as you , over active thyroid can mimic anxiety
do they have your thyroid under control?
are you taking carbimazole
