Feeling scared 😭

Hi everyone, I really need ur support and advice.i found black line on my nail pad. The first one is on my little finger and another is on thumb like I show u in the photo. I feel worried about it . Does anyone heard or see about it?? Plz advice me.

Personally that always happens to me, it's nothing bad, i had it for years..

Really? I found some articles about that on google. It said black line on nail pad may be due to some disease like heart disease and SLE etc.... I feel worried about it. May be I have some disease 😢

Worst thing you can do is google your symptoms. I had that come and go for years and i never heard of that relating to heart problems lol

Super, take a nail file and see if you can scratch it off , sometimes you can get a mark from something on top layer of nail . Let me know if it comes off . 😘

I scratched it but it didn't come off . I am now asking my doctor. When I know the cause I will let u know 😊

I want to cry right now. I feel anxious about it. My doctor wants me to take some autoimmune test. Actually I have severe headache and dizziness for more than 4 months and I found out these black lines recently. I don't want any major health problem and don't want to die this age. I have to do may works and take care of my mom. And I don't even get marry.

Suyee, it is probably just a vitamin or mineral deficiency. Get appt with doc and relieve your mind 😘 One day at a time.

Wait a sec. Did you tell your Dr. you have black lines in your nail bed over the phone and he wants you to come in for some testing? Because the way your describing a black line, and the way he is probably visualizing a black line, may be two different things. You have a very faint and small black line in your nail bed (very very faint). Where as he may be thinking you have thick black lines running through your nails.

When I told my Dr. I was short of breath all the time over the phone he told me he wanted to test my heart and lungs and take some blood. When he saw me in the office he took one look at me and said it was just anxiety.

Of course, I insisted we did all of the tests. They all came back good.

Dr.s have to err on the side of caution. Also, anxious people tend to describe their symptoms a bit dramatically.

My Grandpa has COPD and he doesn't even battle with shortness of breath the way I do. He's 74 mind you.

Anxiety is a hell of thing.

I'm not sure but I have one in my thumb index finger and pinky. I have not figured out what it could be not if you find out let me know please.

It can be from an injury or stain in a dry brittle nail. The Doctor sounds a little over reactive....looking for business maybe? Be afraid of him/her, not the little black spot. :)_

It will be great that little black spot won't hurt me. I hope it's just my anxiety. But I have to test those blood tests and Ian afarid for the result. If I have bad news I don't know what should I do??

Pretty sure they are just little hairs that get stuck in the nails bed

When they grow out u can see they are just little hairs

I think they look exactly like they are caused by increase in melanacytes due to sun exposure.The black streaks that you show are not at all like the ones that may indicate some illnesses . They usually look absolutely nothing like your tiny black streaks. Your nails have developed the equivalent of freckles . I am guessing you live in a warm country? I would get doc to do a blood pressure test incase ur headaches and diziness are caused by high b.p. doctors always err on caution ,but i do not think that the symptoms you describe gel in with any symptoms that would suggest serious systemic illnesses like Lupus.etc...Also the fact that you mention 3 nails being affected does not sound suspicious for nail cancer .either.Nails can get skin cancer just like skin can. but the blackness in the nail in the case of cancer is very dramatic and again nothing like your very slight streaks.It is also usually affecting one nail and occuring in later life eg. Sixties plus. I think you will be just fine.Try not to worry and never google your symptoms.Im a ex nurse and i know google would have you dead and buried because you had indigestion lol.Best of luck .

Thanks for ur great words Brumchick!!! I had done blood test for autoimmune last day. Actually, I am a dental students, so my medical knowledge makes me think I have something bad conditions ( it's my own thoughts)😞 All I need now is support from u all. I feel alone and scared.

If you have little red or brown streaks underneath your nails, it's likely they're splinter haemorrhages – lines of blood caused by tiny damaged blood vessels.

Thanks for ur advice dunc-b. I am afarid bcoz I have never occurred like this before and I am now suffering bad headache, dizziness all day and palpitations and then now this black line occurs on my nail. I am afarid I have SLE or something wrong in my body. But I had done blood test yesterday, so I will know the result on Friday. Plz pray for me😞 Hope u all are better soon too.kick away these anxiety and bad symptoms 😊
