Hi, is there anyone out there who suffers from AF? I have recently been diagnosed with it and very stressed with how to cope.
I'd be real pleased to hear from anyone else who is going through this.
Thanks.

I have recently developed heart rhythm issues that they have called AF. For them to confirm the diagnosis they want me to schedule a two week monitor. Overall, they don't seem that concerned as long as it doesn't cause other issues like dizziness or fainting. If those events occur,, frequently, they would suggest medication or pace maker. How was it diagnosed for you and how are they treating it?
Yes Steve. I was diagnosed about two months ago and I'm trying to come to terms with it; reading as much as I can and getting all the info I can.
I went for an echocardiogram yesterday... all was well until he asked me to lie on my back and.... the AF started.. not good. I'm on a beta blocker and Apixaban .
My cardiologist suggests that I must be protected against stroke as my chad score is 2.. maybe 3.; being female and over 65 .
It is hard not to get frustrated and depressed about this. I am going to try yoga and guided meditation, and maybe later some acu puncture as well as my daily walk (when the weather takes the Barometer higher than 4*.).
Good luck, do let me know how you cope.
Yes anxiety and af are often associated. Check out the community on healthunlocked for atrial fib
