I had a cervical MRI done Monday morning, receptionist called me an hour ago saying they had an opening this Friday, my appointment is for 10 AM. As soon as the call ended I nearly passed out. I had to take some benzodiazepines to calm down. My anxiety at the moment is out of control. I've been suffering from GAD/Health Anxiety for 15 years. Multiple sclerosis or Tumour is all I can think about. Pray for me please.

Neurologist wants to discuss the results of my cervical MRI.
Hi Hardluck, whoa....slow down and breathe. A cervical MRI more likely showed disc problems than something horrific such as MS or Tumor. I believe you when you say your anxiety is out of control at the moment, but that moment will go on until 10am Friday.
You have to take away those negative thoughts from your mind. One step at a time. Nothing has been diagnosed yet. It's just protocol for the doctor to go over the MRI with you. Try to use today and tomorrow to ready yourself for Friday's appointment by doing some relaxation and deep breathing. Don't make yourself so sick emotionally. Our anxious minds always take us to the worse case scenario. Most of the time it doesn't happen and we end up having wasted so much energy for nothing. I wish you well with the appointment and let us know how it went. For now, change your name to GoodLuck and put Hardluck on the back burner.
Relax everything will be ok.
