Hi Jamie1989, actually you need to stop the first signs of anxiety before it becomes an attack. I have found with daily practice of deep breathing and relaxation/meditation, you will build a tolerance to the adrenaline effect that's causing anxiety. Just doing this before bed and first thing in the morning can make a difference. I also tune into YouTube in the afternoon if it's been a stressful day. Type in Audio Deep Breathing Relaxation Video and listen for 10 min. When you do feel an attack coming on, you will better be prepared to Accept that it's just anxiety as well as go into your deep breathing and avoid the attack from taking over. Practice makes perfect. It will help.
Hi Jamie, welcome to this site, when I start to have an attack I tell myself that its just anxiety and that it wont hurt me(I know its sometimes easier said than done).take deep breathes and just know its your thoughts and only your thoughts. Dont be afraid of them as this will only worsen your symptoms....take care
