Hello my fellow fighters, I haven't been here for a while. I have had some very dark times like you can all relate to, life is so short and you only get one shot at it. About 8 or nine months ago now I decided to try and control the anxiety instead of it controlling me. I used the form of counseling and trying to retrain how I perceive things. As I said, I have my down times but I feel as if I am getting to grips with it more than I ever have done.
Love and best wishes to you all.

I have been so-so low at times, really felt so scared and isolated in my own mind. When the anxiety has been in full force. It takes my over and the person I became was not someone I knew. I have fought so many battles with anxiety, finding this site and nice people like to has helped me strive to where I am today. Keep the fight, we are all behind you, learning to deal with anxiety is the key, we will always be in recovery, that is part of us.
Much love and positive vibes from me x
Hey,
I've not been on here before, but I had suffered from a rare form of anxiety and now I can cope without the use of medication.
I feel speaking to someone helps a lot. I'm glad you are in a better place and can manage your illness.
Whoop whoop to to us.
But we should be here for the people that are not as fortunate as us and help them on the road to recovery.
Take what support you can and try and give it a go.
I am really pleased for you. I agreed with what you said about talking. I have had my set backs, still on meds, but learning to manage the condition is a massive part of the recovery. I think since officially being diagnosed with GAD. It helped, just knowing I had something that help was available for.
I would say to anyone, 'DO NOT SUFFER ALONE' get help, if you GP was anything like mine, wanted you in and out in a flash, change your doctor, we are all entitled to a decent standard of life, make sure that it starts there and we strive to move forward.
Glad your trying to do something about your anxiety although I know it is not always easy. Wishing you Positive mental health.

Morning Kenny. It's people like you that give me the mental power to help myself. Only us really know what it feels like and how it really crushes you as a person.
