Hi. I have been experiencing what I think it vertigo. When I lay down to go to sleep, when I turn my head to quickly to get comfortable I get really dizzy. Every once in awhile, my hearing feels a tiny bit muffled. Lastly, yesterday, the pain in my neck was very tight and hurt for about an hour. I traveled 3X in the last month in a half as well. What do you think it going on? If i go to my doctor for the dizziness I experience when i lay down, it will cost me $95 again for a doctor visit with insurance coverage. Will this go away on its own, or should I see my doctor for some time of medication?

Hello and welcome! I get the same dizzy feeling when the weather changes due to the fluid in my ears. I take a Benadryl to dry up the fluid. Also, you may be having just normal adjustment when you turn, but those of us with anxiety always make a mountain our of mole hill, right? You might also try a saline spray in your nose and blow your nose so you can get rid of the gunk. Feeling dizzy with pollen, weather, a slight cold, or temperature changes is very, very common. See if the inexpensive other the counter meds help you and give it some time. I get it. It is all so scary and we have to not go to the "what if" thinking and start telling ourselves "so, what..no big deal...this is normal and will pass".

Hi Isala... I have the same symptoms. I have seen a regular doctor, E.N.T doctor, neurologist, psychiatric, and a psychologist. I was prescribed valium and meclizine /anivert. Some nights zi canna lay down, because that makes the vertigo worst. I went to vestibular therapy as well. I have been suffering with this for 3 years now. I have been doing some research on line, and it has helped me.I think it will help you as well. So many things can cause dizziness, and you are not alone.

Hello. I can guarantee that travelling has brought this on, I have anxiety and have had it for about a year and I went on a plane and for the next few weeks I had exactly what your describing, if I put my head to either side the room would spin and I would have to sit or stand up. I went on a ferry and that was the same I had vertigo for a week. If you have anxiety any change in brain activity can be made much worse with travelling. It will definitely go on it's own as mine did. The only tablets you can get will stop you feeling sick but will not stop the symptoms. Keep your chin up and be positive and it WILL passs. Grant
