Yes many times, anxiety keeps our muscles very tense, and takes away a lot of energy,i feel this nearly every day when my anxiety is high,i often feel like i need to sit down, before i fall over,as my legs feel like jelly legs, its a reaction to a stress response,it does go away when you are not so anxious, please dont worry too much about it as its just another weird anxiety symptom,it wont harm you

Yes I used to get this quite a bit but seeing your post has made me realise I haven't had it in months. Anxiety symptoms are always changing up just to keep us on our toes lol

Hi..Just read your post. I know it is a year old but wonder how you are getting on and if you have got over your weird/wobbly legs..I have been suffering from this and at times it feels as though my legs (one more that the other) just refuse to move..Very scary. It is ok as I was referred to a neurologist who has booked me in for some kind of electrical nerve test. I just wanted to know if anyone else had extreme symptoms. My problem has been going on for months and I have had days when I think I am getting over it and then..whamm..back it comes. The last period of semi remission lasted about 10 days and I was feeling really hopeful but my optimism was short lived. The fact that it came back after that time made it seem twice as scary and now I just feel useless and limp and almost afraid to even try to walk although both neurologist and physio say I need to keep moving. Test this week so we shall see. Sorry for long post. Hope you are feeling much better..

I have the same problem, I feel my right leg is just going to give up. Let me know how you get on. I had an MRI which was clear. X

Just read your post. How are you coping? Are you having to have other tests?

My nerve test is on Thursday and I think I am probably getting worked up about it although they say it is not a big deal. It is the thought of what they might find. It IS sometimes comforting to know how others are progressing , so was great to have your input - especially as I had never spoken to anyone in my day to day contacts who have had these same symptoms. I have always suffered the 'weak in the knees' thing if I hear anything gory and chuckle when that has happened. but this is way more.

I have heard MRI scans are not very nice. Am claustrophobic so hoping they won't have to do one. However if it helps rule out anything untoward, so be it.

Let me know how you go on ..x

No more tests neurologist says it’s health anxiety. Don’t worry I’m sure you’ll be fine & probably no more tests required. If you look on the No More Panic website there are a lot of others with similar symptoms. Take care. Xx

Nerve test went ok. My doctor suspected that I may have peripheral neuropathy due to long term use of statins. I came off them and Neurologist said that there appears to be no long term damage - all seemed fairly normal (me normal?). I have to say though, I seemed worse for a few days after the test. Hopefully it was just reaction. He does not need to see me again but I wait to hear from my doctor.

How much is anxiety and how much is med. side effects. I may never know. Anxiety sure doesn't help so I am practicing deep breathing and giving myself a good talking to when I feel I can't move.

Hope you are on the up. Thank you for your input..I HAD read loads relating to leg weakness but only in the last few days found articles that mentioned the 'legs won't move' bit. xx
