Is there a chance your medications can stop working? I've been on them two months they have really helped but I'm going backwards now can they lose their effect?
Fluoxetine: Is there a chance your... - Anxiety Support
Fluoxetine
I was on ativan for a little over a month and it helped me but over time it just wasn't as strong and I could feel myself slowly going back down and feel worse. Ativan is only short term use so maybe that is why. They now gave me something new and it works better for now.. But over time im sure it will do the same. Im supposed to be taking my Celexa but for some reason I am very afraid too
Your not going backwards Sandy, your just tuning into your body too much, your symptoms are becoming more apparent due to your present mind set, the fluoxetine will probably be doing more good than you actually realize, your not at a good enough place yet, but you will be eventually, xxx
Well let me just make it clear that once you almost get back to being yourself then anxiety is even worse than the first time round! Feel like you've beat it only for it to bullly you completely!
Yeah, I know that feeling only too well, wish I didn't, very disheartening when you think your on top of it then, "boom" it's still beatable though xxx
I was on fluoxitine and feel that it can. i don't know how old you are but i was told if you are over eighteen it's not very effective for adults. x
Fluoxetine is an antidepressant, not sure that it's prescribed for under 18s?
Fluoxetine is an SSRI - this class of drugs can deplete folate levels in some patients - symptoms of folate deficiency include depression and anxiety - so may be worth getting your folate levels checked
