Antidepressants side effects

I'm taking Effexor and amitriptyline. I started both two weeks ago at the same time. I have been feeling more restless, anxious and getting hand tremors, poor coordination. I don't know which is causing this 😞

Effexor is an SSRI - a class of anti-depressants. They can deplete folate (B9) levels - causing the symptoms you mention in some people. Suggest that you talk to the doctor who proscribed them and/or the GP who prescribed.

Oh my, I do feel so depleted. I am going to get some folate. I do feel like I'm week and shaky all day. Thank you

Would you kindly tell me what dose of Amitriptyline you're on? I am on 25 mg for PHN (after shingles pain) and am having the hand tremors and poor co-ordination, I am in the process of weaning off Ami. should be done with doc's. supervision but like a lot of folks almost impossible to get appts. !!!

I take 10mg at bedtime.
