Hi Calvara, Klonopin will help relax you which in turn will reduce your anxiety, which in turn will help you sleep. I know you are scared, but I would try taking it, the benefits outweigh the risk of side effects. Good Luck Calvara.

Should I take 2 of .5 mg?

Follow your doctor's orders, which sounds like it is .5mg twice a day.

So take just .5mg. Feel better.

2 mg is what is recommended because being a benzodiazepine it can become addictive I take thay in combo with another anti-epileptic drug for epilepsy. Any more than 2mg gives you too many horrible side effects and is only recommended for no more than 2 months then review the situation woth your doctor and ask them to change you to an SSRI which is more recommended for anxiety. I must let you know that also sleeping tablets are addictive or can become an addiction so never take them.

Hi Calvara. Please please be careful with the meds. Klonopin is a strong benzo that can cause a lot of problems. Yes it can help with anxiety. Help a lot but some of the side effects and withdrawals are AWFUL!!! Please be careful. Forewarned is forearmed✌

All the best M x

Hi! Well I took it last night but I was up all night. It didn't do anything for me. My doctor did tell me it doesn't work for everyone. I take it I am one of those "ones"! I can't sleep at night and I just lay there tossing and turning

In reply to your question-- yes it does help with insomnia but so do lots of meds. I'm speaking from experience. I had a torrid time getting off them. I'm floating about so feel free to ask anything . All the best M

Hello again, I was just thinking (no it didn't hurt..!) Seriously tho I was wondering why the doc says to take them twice a day if they are for insomnia?? I saw your post saying they didn't work. Either the dose was too low or they just aren't for you. Maybe a blessing in disguise....!! Keep at it you may have to try a few meds before you get one that works x Sent with best wishes xxxx xxx
