Can anyone tell me what does an anxiety adrenaline rush feel like?
Adrenaline : Can anyone tell me what does an... - Anxiety Support
Adrenaline
I think they are two different things. Adrenaline is something "normal" people will feel in certain situations like about to go on a roller coaster, or seeing a spider etc. It's the bodies way to make you more alert to deal with a potentiality dangerous situation. It kicks in your "fight" or "flight" system. People who suffer from anxiety get these shots of adrenaline at the wrong times when there isn't any danger, like in a shopping center or something. The sudden rush of adrenaline kicks in the fight or flight which then starts in the anxiety/panic attack. This often leads to strong impulse to run or get away from the current situation (flight) - which can then lead to avoiding that situation or place as you associate it with danger.
For me I get like this dread type feeling in the pit of my stomach Its then like a red hot feeling that sweeps all over and I feel I must run and get away from the situation I'm in
It dies down and the feeling when it's gone is wonderful
I've now learnt to stop being frightened of them as they always die down and I'm always ok and nothing I feared to start the rush in the first place has happened
Good luck x
For me it feels like a rush or wave of falling down or sinking goes through my brain and then it goes to my chest area as far as feeling nervous. And that nervousness will sit on my chest until the feeling passes
For me, its like a very sudden wave of heat that starts in my chest and flushes throughout my extremities. It only lasts a second but leaves me feeling nervous, dizzy and sick. It's like a 'Rush'. One night I had 7 in a row and my natural instinct was to go outdoors and run up the street. Caffeine gives me adrenaline rushes so much that I can only drink decaf tea on the rare occasion.
