Amitriptyline (also known as Endep) is a medication used to treat mainly depression and some other neurological disorders but has been proven effective in treating other things such as headaches and dizziness due to anxiety etc

It worked for me and the side effects aren't bad either (slight drowsiness and a dry mouth)

I ran out of it the other day and didn't take it for one night and I had the headaches come right back again so I was sure to go straight to the pharmacy and get more

There is no guarantee it will work for some people as others react differently to certain medications but I thought this would be great for those considering medication but we're unsure of whether or not to try it

I am taking amitriptyline for pain following shingles and it also really helped me!!! It is wonderful to find a drug that works. Also the side effect of drowsiness is a bonus as I am sleeping a lot better. I have had sleep probs. since childhood (now age 76) and the low dose of amitriptyline is the only thing that has worked. Don't know how long it will go being prescribed however.
